Warm Sun

Kindergarteners have been learning about the color wheel.  For this project we looked at the warm color family and created our warm suns using only the warm colors, red, orange. yellow and pink.  We noticed that all of the warm colors are on one side of the color wheel!

Learning Goal: I can pick out the warm colors.   We created a sun with hot flames.  The warm sun reminds us that yellow is a warm color. The fire around the sun helps us to remember that orange and red are warm colors.  The pink sunrise sky is the final touch on our warm color paintings.  Pink is the bonus warm color because it is simply red with a little white in it!   In the future, we will use this image to help us remember our warm color family.
